My story
Hi, I’m Yael Bar-Maor, a practicing landscape architect and urban designer since 2002.
I earned my Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, and a Master of Urban Design degree from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem.
In 2008 I opened my own practice – YBM landscape architecture studio, based in two locations: the countryside town of Binyamina (south of Haifa), and the city of Tel-Aviv.
Over the years I have been teaching, lecturing, and writing about landscape architecture. For several years, I was the editor of the Hebrew “Landscape Architecture” magazine published by Israeli Association of Landscape Architects.

The blog aims to connect the dots between landscape, politics, and the everyday experience, touching also on environmental and social issues.
It is named after points on the historic oil pipeline from the oilwells in northern Iraq to the Mediterranean port city Haifa, my childhood hometown.
